Demonstrations for refugees in Saxony

Chemnitz: About 100 demonstrators in Chemnitz

According to the police, around 100 participants demonstrated in Chemnitz under the motto “Moria is bruning – We have space”. The initiative “Seebrücke”, together with the alliance “Chemnitz Nazifree” and “Stand up against racism”, called for the protests. “I think we have to evacuate all camps and take in all people who ask for help,” said Gabriele Engelhardt from “Stand up against racism” to a reporter. Chemnitz should become a safe haven in the future. She hopes that Chemnitz will have a city leader in the future that could show a clearer edge than was the case in the past.
