A Mensura survey of 1,045 Belgian workers indicates that during the next autumn, almost a third more of the employees are considering vaccination against influenza compared to last year.
“While last year, 30% of respondents were vaccinated, at least 39% of them are considering vaccination this year,” said Mensura.
“The number of people who are considering getting vaccinated against the flu may further increase if a second wave of coronavirus strikes our country,” notes Gretel Schrijvers, CEO of Mensura.
For Mensura, the workplace remains the ideal place for a flu vaccination. “A visit to the general practitioner to obtain a prescription, followed by a second consultation for the effective administration of the vaccine, constitute concrete obstacles for many people. Whereas an organized vaccination at the workplace saves employees a lot of time and the cost of the vaccine, ”explains Ms. Schrijvers.
