Dell is releasing new versions of its XPS 13 laptop and XPS 13 2-in1 with Intel Tiger Lake processors with Xe GPU. The two models will be given the type designation XPS 9310 and will be released in the United States and Canada at the end of September.
The design of the XPS 13 laptop and the 2-in-1 convertible has not changed. The XPS devices again use a 16:10 screen and there are versions with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and 3840×2400 pixels. New to the laptop model is that an infrared camera is used as a webcam, which makes logging in with Windows Hello possible.
Dell provides the XPS 9310 models with Intel Tiger Lake-processors. Intel announced the second generation of 10nm processors in early September. The CPUs have an Intel Xe GPU and are combined with 8 to 32GB of Lpddr4x-4267 memory. Dell supplies the laptops with Core i3, i5 and i7 variants of the Tiger Lake processors.
In the US, the new XPS laptops will go on sale September 30. The cheapest configuration costs $ 999. There will also be a Developer Edition of the new XPS 13, with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. It is not yet known when the XPS 13 models with Tiger Lake processors will be for sale in the Netherlands and Belgium.
