Going to the store with your bottle and filling it with drinking water: at Delhaize such a pilot project is running in a few branches. You pay 0.25 cents for a liter of filtered tap water, which is about 60 times more expensive than regular tap water from your own tap. “But now you compare apples with pears,” says Delhaize spokesman Roel Dekelver. “The water is filtered and the cheapest in our range.”
