Symbolic scene for the clash between the two teams. EHC Kloten initially used the opponent’s blurry start to take a 2-0 early lead. Then he prepares himself by all means against the clearly decisive Bernese. Sometimes it’s better, sometimes it’s worse. And when the Kloteners barely made it out of their zone towards the end of the middle third, Tomlinson pulled the emergency brake with a time-out and gave simple instructions: pull deep behind the opponent’s goal, just play, survive the six minutes until the second break.
Kloten manages a lot more, the EHC maintains the 2: 2 until the end of the regular season and puts several small bites into the offensive. Winning is not enough – Kloten is still waiting for the first sense of accomplishment after four games.
