It is uncertain when they will return to regular service. Last week Lufthansa sent its first two Airbus A380s to Teruel with the D-AIMG and D-AIMF. In addition to the entire A340-600 fleet, the airline will also shut down some super jumbos at the Spanish airport due to the corona crisis. Shortly before, Lufthansa announced that it would flee six of its 14 A380s early.

The airline has now brought two more A380s to Teruel. Just a short time after the Mike Golf and Mike Foxtrott – so the abbreviated license plates of the jets in aviator talk – landed on April 30th with the D-AIMJ the third A380 on the parking airfield. The fourth Superjumbo followed on May 5 with the D-AIMK. D-AIMA is also due to arrive on Friday (May 8th).
