Decazeville Prepares for 6th annual Fair-Exhibition, Showcasing Local Businesses and Entertainment
Decazeville, France – The 6th Foire-Exposition de Decazeville is set to transform rolling mills I and II into a bustling marketplace from october 3rd to 5th, offering a diverse range of products and services to residents and visitors. This year’s event promises a significant boost to the local economy and a showcase of regional talent,with nearly 70 stands confirmed.
The annual fair serves as a vital platform for local businesses, artisans, and community groups to connect with the public. Following concerns raised in 2023 regarding aggressive sales tactics,organizers have emphasized that all participating professionals are trustworthy. The event is free to attend and will run daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., providing a weekend of shopping, demonstrations, and entertainment for all ages.
Automotive enthusiasts will find six dealerships represented – Peugeot, Nissan, Citroën, Negrier, LB Automobiles, and Aixam (license-free cars) – located outside the rolling mills. Inside, rolling mill I will host a “village of local know-how,” featuring businesses incubated at the Chrysalis business nursery, including 3D Lazer, adapt 12, Filham, Eegs, expert geo, megapub, poz coaching, it2e, aacp, alongside established companies like Charles Charpentes (Bouillac) and Coeur d’Aveyron (Almont-les-Junies). Educational institutions such as the Lycée de Decazeville, Lycée d’Aubin, CMQIF, CMQ wood and forest, PFT Industrie, PFT Bois, and the Association L’O tool in hand de Decazeville will also participate.
A dedicated “Village Decazeville-Vallée du Lot” will be situated in rolling mill II, offering reduced access prices to local merchants thanks to a partnership between the Town Hall of Decazeville and the Community of Communes. “This space has emerged thanks to a partnership with the Town Hall of Decazeville and the community of Communes, which allow local brands to benefit from reduced access prices,” stated city officials.
