World sports brand retailer “Decathlon” is preparing to open the first store in Latvia and will soon open e-commerce with delivery throughout Latvia.
The chain of the family business “Decathlon”, founded in France, to which Latvia will join as the 60th country, is the largest retailer of sporting goods in the world with more than 1,600 stores in Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Asia.
“Decathlon Rīga” will be a sports center of an unprecedented concept in Latvia, where every sports enthusiast and lover of active recreation will be able to get acquainted with more than 70 different sports.
Decathlon emphasizes that customer-friendly prices are possible by investing in your logistics organization, optimizing storage, transportation and automation, thus reducing costs and environmental impact. Decathlon does not use packaging, for example, without shoe boxes, and strategically places warehouses close to its stores to ensure more efficient shipping.
It has already been reported that the new “Decathlon” store will be located in the future shopping center “Saga”, which was built on the border of Riga and Stopiņi region. “Decathlon” will open its doors to customers on November 5, and the entire shopping center on November 10.
