Debrecen secures Third Consecutive K&H league Victory, Topping Ester Bear 32-29
Debrecen, Hungary – Debrecen continued its winning streak in the K&H League Hungary Handball, defeating Ester Bear 32-29 in a hard-fought match. The victory marks Debrecen’s third consecutive win, solidifying their position as a leading contender in the league.
The game saw a dynamic shift in momentum, with Debrecen initially establishing a four-goal lead-29-25-six minutes into the contest. However,Ester Bear mounted a determined comeback,spearheaded by Hurdati Bureser,Barga Emily,and Faragó lea,ultimately falling short despite a strong defensive performance from goalkeeper Bucosky Anna,who recorded 10 saves.This win is crucial for Debrecen as they navigate a competitive season, aiming for a top finish and potential playoff contention.
debrecen’s offensive power proved decisive, led by Sersimian-Ugolin Océane with an extraordinary 11 goals. Jobovic Jobana contributed seven goals, while Lape Suddotir Christine added five, collectively accounting for 23 of the team’s 32 goals. The attacking trio of Ovity Jovana, TOVIZI PETRA, and Océane also played a key role in breaking down Ester Bear’s defense, supported by the goalkeeping of Placzek.
“It was a great game,” stated Debrecen manager Szilágyi Zoltán on the club’s homepage.”If we had succeeded in the early stages,we could have won a more agreeable victory,but Ester bear caught up. It was the core of the victory, but it has not been decided yet.”
Ester Bear coach Elek Gábor acknowledged Debrecen’s strength, stating, “It was a good game, but they were better, and it was natural for the better team to win. Our team lost in mental power. We could have remained in the goalkeeper’s defense, but the gap between the two seasoned players was regrettable.”
