Death-worshiping civilizations will appear in the space strategy Stellaris

Paradox Interactive has announced an addition to the global space 4X strategy Stellariscalled Necroids Species Pack. The developers continue to release a ton of content in the form of DLC, and the latter is dedicated to the new necroid civilizations.

Necroids are not dead, but death-worshiping beings. Therefore, in the portraits, they are depicted in an appropriate theme, and do not look like undead or decaying. Necroids are intelligent and inclined to exist where other species are likely to die. According to Paradox Interactive, the new civilizations will revitalize the gameplay for longtime Stellaris fans and add challenge and variety, as well as attract new players.

The add-on will add 16 portraits (one of which belongs to the car), a set of ships and cities, a background for the lobby, a backstory, three civilizations, a pre-created empire and one advisor’s voice. “We wanted to add ships that have a more sinister look, and I’m very happy to report that we’ve done something really great. We will provide a detailed account of the ships and the artistic process of their creation in one of the future dev diaries. “, – stated Paradox Interactive.

No release date for the Necroids Species Pack has been announced.
