Gambling was responsible for 31% of the total earnings obtained by its publisher, 505 Games
After spending time as an exclusive on the platform of Sony, the action and exploration game Death Stranding, developed by Kojima Productions, arrived at the PC during the year 2020. The title was highly anticipated by PC players, and the recent figures released by 505 Games, the publisher responsible for the game on the platform, demonstrate this.
According to latest financial report published by Digital Bros, the company responsible for 505 Games, the Death Stranding PC port generated $ 27.8 million (23.192 million euros) in revenue. This total represents only the gains obtained by the publisher in relation to sales through the two stores that the game is available on the PC, Epic Games Store e Steam.
Something that draws attention is that this number was reached in a period of just 5 months, as the PC game edition was released in mid-July 2020. The company has not yet released the exact number of copies sold from the Death Stranding port for PC, however, the gains shown are a positive indication that the game is a success on the platform.
Thanks to Death Strading, 505 Games recorded a 29% increase in revenue
In addition to Death Strading, the gains obtained from other games published by 505 Games, such as Control, which was released in 2019. The current Remedy title had total sales (including sales on consoles and PCs) of approximately US $ 19.2 million (€ 16.039 million) in 2020, a 32.9% drop in earnings compared to the year of launch.
While the accumulated revenues of other games published by 505 Games, such as the Assetto Corsa franchise and the independent game Ghostrunner, have remained practically at the same level between 2019 and 2020, the publisher posted a 29% increase in revenue. As you can imagine, this increase is directly related to the arrival of the title of Hideo Kojima for PC.

Finally, it is revealed that 505 Games will receive a portion of the earnings from future Payday 3 sales, which was confirmed to be released in 2023, being part of an agreement made in 2016 by Starbreeze and the publisher.
