Dean (4) will be buried on Saturday, both suspects remain in jail | beveren

Dean’s body was found last Monday on the Dutch island of Neeltje Jans. It is also in the Netherlands that an autopsy was performed, to gain clarity about how and when Dean died. The results are now known and will be transferred by the Dutch police to the investigators in our country. But neither the Dutch nor the Belgian courts communicate at the request of the investigating judge about what the autopsy has revealed.

Suspects Dave De Kock (34) and his girlfriend Romy W. (25) meanwhile remain in prison. The latter is in jail on suspicion of kidnapping and murder, but keeps her innocence standing and asked for her release on Friday. The council chamber did not comment on this and extended her detention, and on Monday it became known that she not appealed opposes her further arrest.

Dave De Kock and Romy W. made conflicting statements and the exact role of the two suspects in the kidnapping and death of Dean is not yet clear. The investigators had hoped to be able to confront the couple quickly, but because De Kock last week resists against his extradition to our country, that could possibly take a few more weeks.
