This commercial event, organized twice a year on the initiative of six French e-commerce brands (Boulanger, Cdiscount, Fnac Darty, La Redoute, Rue du Commerce and Showroomprivé), was postponed by one month due to the coronavirus epidemic.

“Celebrating the renaissance of commerce”

Singularity of this edition, traders will offer a focus on French brand products. “This spring 2020 edition aims to celebrate the renaissance of commerce,” announced the six organizers, who are inviting even more physical stores this year to join them in an attempt to sell off their stocks of products without waiting for sales.

Will the discounts be all the more attractive? “For this first post-containment event, we are going to give purchasing power to the French on the categories that interest them: computers, peripherals, telephones, small household appliances …”, boasts Hugues Pitre, the general manager of Rue du Commerce.

Among the thousand promotional offers from the Saint-Ouen e-merchant (Seine-Saint-Denis), we can cite -10% discount on a selection of Dyson products, -7% on certain Apple devices, -300 euros on several Samsung Galaxy phones or -70 euros on peripheral equipment such as graphics cards. Stars of containment, the Faure Magic Air Cooking robot is offered at 249.99 euros (instead of 319 euros) and the HP Pavilion laptop PC at 599.99 euros (instead of 699.99 euros).

Fnac-Darty also announces promotions on around 300 products, with discounts ranging from 15 to 50%. Impossible to go further since, unlike sales, it is prohibited for retailers to resell at a loss. “We offer two types of product, explains Olivier Garcia at Fnac-Darty, seasonal products, such as headsets or wireless speakers, and products that sold less during confinement, such as sports cameras and stands. cameras. “

And the product manager to cite the example of the JBL Extreme speaker sold for 149 euros instead of 299 euros (-50%) or the Galaxy S10 phone at 449 euros instead of 759 euros (-41%). Fnac-Darty will also offer discounts on a few specific models of connected watches (-15%), coffee machines with grinder (-25%) or refrigerators (-17%).

As with each edition of the French Days, Boulanger prepared “30 exceptional offers” on home equipment and multimedia, including -40% on several TVs. The Bordeaux Cdiscount speaks of promotions on “nearly a hundred products” without delivering the amounts.

“We are going to highlight travel and leisure in France”

Showroomprivé, which offers event sales throughout the year on collections from previous seasons, will take advantage of the French Days to highlight on its home page “committed” French brands supported by its incubator. Two of them, OTH recycled tire sneakers and Urban Circus reflective clothing, will be promoting. “We will also highlight travel and leisure in France because we are aware that they are in difficulty”, explains the site’s communication. Prices will be cut: -50% on HomAir campsites on Thursday, -75% at Locatour, -39% at Pierre et Vacances and an adult at the price of a child at Bellambra.
