Arthur Melo landed in Turin on the night from Saturday to Sunday to finalize his transfer to Juventus. The 23-year-old midfielder of FC Barcelona flew with a select group in a private jet to Italy to put the finishing touches.
Arthur is accompanied by his family, a lawyer and former Barça director Robert Fernandéz. The latter brought the Brazilian from Grêmio to Catalonia in 2018 and the two became friends. Arthur will undergo the medical examination on Sunday, after which the final contract details will also be discussed.

According to various Spanish and Italian media, there is a good chance that Miralem Pjanic will also take the medical tests in Turin. Barça and Juve have cooked up an exchange deal in recent weeks. Where Arthur leaves for the Italian champion for eighty million, Pjanic goes to work for the Spanish title holder for seventy million. Both clubs need the transfers for 2019/2020 accounting.
The Brazilian playmaker is said to have a contract worth seven million euros per season, including bonuses. Thirty-year-old Pjanic, who currently earns seven million net a year from Juventus, would have to give in for his transfer to Barça.
