Manchester City vs Chelsea be the opener of week 22 Premier League. The duel kick-off at 19.30 WIB tonight, Saturday (15/1).
In the first half, the score finished with 0-0. Manchester City dominate for 45 minutes. Temporary Chelsea, stagnate without a single chance.
Kevin De Bruyne is the difference. His beautiful goal in the 70th minute made City win 1-0 and secure the three points.
The Citizens also stayed away in the temporary Premier League standings. City are in first place with 56 points, leaving Chelsea in second place with a difference of 13 points!
The course of the match
The first half started, both teams were still playing carefully until the first 10 minutes. Both teams played with a tight defensive line.
In the 10th minute, Chelsea threaten. Romelu Lukaku won the duel with the Stones and made a solo run. The ball was passed to Hakim Ziyech but failed to reach, the last name was also in an offside position.
The 13th minute, John Stones made a chance. The City centre-back caught the ball from a corner with a header but it headed straight for goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
In the 24th minute, Kevin De Bruyne took turns to create opportunities. Welcoming feedback from Grealish on the right side of the Chelsea defence, De Bruyne, who had a narrow shooting space, forced a kick. Again, Kepa easily secured it.
39th minute, Manchester City almost scored. Kevin De Bruyne who pressed Kovacic won the ball and passed to Jack Grealish who ran in deep in front of the penalty box.
Kepa Arrizabalaga comes out of his nest. Grealish’s kick still hit the foot of Kepa and only ended in a corner kick.
