De Blasio goes to Brooklyn to celebrate after the election

Dozens of supporters of President-elect Joe Biden gathered in Brooklyn’s Grand Army plaza to celebrate the announcement that casts him as the winner of the election.

Mayor de Blasio and the first lady, Chirlane McCray, participated in this demonstration and spoke about Biden’s triumph, according to electoral projections.

De Blasio also mentioned that Biden and the Democrats won fairly and overwhelmingly. He indicated that it is time for President Trump to accept that he lost fairly.

Other New Yorkers were in favor of the choice of Biden: “Super happy. We were waiting for that answer and we are happy that Joe Biden won.”

Someone else added: “I am very happy that my baby is not born into a world with that President.”

The Mayor also stated that he believes that, right now, the city needs to recover and believes that with Biden as president that will be possible.
