DAZN Considerably Expands College Sports Portfolio with Fox Sports Rights agreement
DAZN has dramatically increased its college sports offerings through a new agreement with Fox Sports, securing international rights to a considerable package of NCAA content. The deal encompasses coverage of both men’s and women’s basketball, including 63 games from the annual March Madness national championship tournaments, and also extensive college football programming.
This strategic move positions DAZN as a major international broadcaster of US collegiate athletics, providing access to games from the Big Ten, Southeastern, Big 12, Big East, Mountain West, and Atlantic Coast conferences – representing the largest collegiate athletic programs in the United States. The acquisition builds upon DAZN’s existing American sports rights portfolio, which includes NFL Game Pass, NHL, and the recent FIFA Club World Cup.
The agreement will see DAZN broadcast 25 college football games per week during the regular season from prominent conferences like the ACC,Big 12,and SEC. Coverage extends to postseason play, featuring the College Football Playoffs, the national championship game, and select “Bowl Games” currently held by ESPN, alongside the weekly College GameDay program.
Beyond football, the deal provides international viewers with comprehensive access to NCAA Division I men’s and women’s basketball throughout the season, culminating in extensive March Madness tournament coverage. This expanded content offering is intended to bolster DAZN’s appeal to international sports fans and further establish its presence in the global sports streaming market.
