This year, the European Union is preparing to cancel the transfer of the clock hands from “summer” to “winter” time. And Ukraine should be corrected your “clock transfer”by synchronizing it with the European one.
Now in Europe they are trying to decide at what time it is better to stop: switch to “winter” in autumn, or continue living according to “summer”. The EU countries should resolve this issue by April 2021, reports “Radio Liberty“.
At the moment, in most countries of the block “winter” time is UTC + 1, which is one hour less than in the same period in Ukraine.
According to the economist Boris Kushniruk, The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine says that it is closely watching the initiatives to cancel the transfer of clocks in the EU countries. The department plans to offer the Cabinet of Ministers to consider the possibility of appropriate changes in the legislation of Ukraine “in order to harmonize Ukrainian legislation with the legislation of the European Union.”
The expert noted that Ukraine’s cancellation of “summer” time without coordination with the EU could lead to losses in the economy, logistics and even disruptions in passenger transport schedules.
“Every six months, all logistics will need to be coordinated with all neighboring countries. The difference in time will lead to changes in the schedules of airplanes, trains, vehicles, etc. This will create problems for business and for the transport industry in particular,” said Boris Kushniruk.
Recall that the Verkhovna Rada in the first reading adopted a bill that cancels the transition from summer to winter time and vice versa, and will consolidate the only Kiev time throughout the country.
