Frankfurt, Dusseldorf At the end of the week, the leading German index interrupted its four-day upward trend: the Dax was down around one percent in late Friday afternoon at 11,650 points. The previous day, it had gone up 1.1 percent, up 11,781 points. The Dax is now around 40 percent higher than its last low, which it reached around 8,440 points in mid-March.
Before the Pentecost weekend, investors take profits after the week has been positive overall. Weak US exchanges in the afternoon underpinned the negative trend.
