A resurfaced clip from 1998 by US talk show legend David Letterman, in which host Jennifer licks Aniston’s hair, is currently going viral on Twitter – and fans are disgusted.
Letterman licked Aniston’s hair
73-year-old Letterman found himself at the center of criticism this week after sharing old clips on social media from his “Late Show with David Letterman,” in which he conducted awkward interviews with female celebrities – including Paris Hilton, Janet Jackson and Lindsay Lohan.
One clip that attracted a lot of attention is an excerpt from a 1998 interview by Letterman with Jennifer Aniston. Aniston, at the height of her career at the time, advertised the film “on Letterman’s show”Love in every relationship“.
During the interview, the “Friends” star said that she once met fans in the sauna of a fitness studio. Later, without being asked, Letterman moves his chair close to the now 52-year-old. He puts a hand on the back of Aniston’s neck and tells her: “Forgive me if that’s rude. I just want to try one.”
Whereupon the moderator takes a strand of hair from his studio guest in his mouth and licks it off. Although Aniston protests loudly and tries to turn her head away.
“That was something I will never forget,” says Aniston, visibly disgusted, after the strange moment. And when Letterman later asked if she was “traumatized” by his attack, she replied, “It’s me.”
