“David Guetta raised the level of livestreams”

Accustomed to crossing the world every other day, Martin Garrix took the time (pandemic obliges) to answer questions from our three animators JB, Justine and Alex Wat. An event interview in which the Dutch DJ talks about his recent collaboration with the talented singer Tove Lo on the track Pressure, very futuristic electro, released on February 5.

“It started with a model I made with two Swedish friends. We already had a male voice that gave a very sexy vibe, really different from what I have ever done. And I really like Tove Lo. We were looking for a woman’s voice. I played the sound for her and she loved it. So she put her voice on the sound and it went really well. I’m super happy with how it turns out“, he confided to the microphone of Fun Radio.

A result that lived up to expectations since the connection between the two artists works particularly well. It must be said that the pandemic has had good for the artist, as for many. Indeed, locked up at home, Martin Garrix had time to be more creative in his music. “I was able to really focus on my music and discover new things. A title like Pressure, I wouldn’t have been able to create it a year ago. No one knows what’s going to happen. I think now is the time to try new things “.

Soon a new collaboration with David Guetta?

Asked about a possible other collaboration with David Guetta, Martin Garrix did not fail to be laudatory towards him. “I really like David. I have known him since I was 14-15 years old and he always encouraged me by teaching me lots of things. Not just in the music, but also in the way this medium works. I am very proud of what he has managed to do this year, especially his livestreams. He really raised the level of livestreams. And who knows maybe we can both release something in the future“said the most followed young DJ in the world on Instagram (more than 16 million subscribers)

As a reminder, the two artists have already collaborated twice together. A first time on the song So Far Away (2017) and a second on the title Like I Do (2018). We can not wait to know what could result from a third musical association between these two heavyweights of electro music.
