Darwin Nunez showed good performance with Benfica last season. A total of 34 goals were scored by the 23-year-old with the Portuguese team in all competitions.
Having been ridiculed for being sluggish in his two pre-season games, Darwin Nunez exploded by scoring four goals in Liverpool’s 5-0 win over RB Leipzig.
Meanwhile, Haaland also appeared no less productive with Borussia Dortmund last season. There have been 29 goals in 30 games in all competitions with Die Borrussen.
Haaland has already made his debut with Man City. As a result, he became the decisive victory for The Citizens over Bayern Munich with a score of 1-0.
“For the first time I won against Bayern and this is after seven consecutive defeats,” said Haaland on the Man City website.
“The quality is good and it’s a real test to see Liverpool in the Community Shield,” he added.
