Darmstadt-Wixhausen: 50 kilograms of amphetamine ensured

The Hesse State Criminal Police Office secured 50 kilograms of amphetamine last Sunday. Three suspects were arrested, including the alleged courier.

DARMSTADT WIXHAUSEN – Around 50 kilograms of amphetamine were seized last Sunday, May 10th, in the Wixhausen district of Darmstadt. The Hessian Criminal Police Office reported this morning. A total of three people, including a man and two young women, were arrested.

According to the investigations that had been going on for months, a group of perpetrators organized the drug smuggling and hired a 27-year-old courier from the Main-Kinzig district to bring the drugs from the Netherlands to Germany in a car. When the woman parked the courier vehicle in Wixhausen, the officers got hold of it. The courier and her 23-year-old passenger were arrested. Two bags, filled with 50 kilograms of amphetamine, were secured in the car.

Furthermore, a mobile task force arrested another 35-year-old suspect in Groß-Gerau. The police secured a meat cleaver in his vehicle. In addition to the suspect’s two vehicles, the police also confiscated cash of 2,000 euros. The arrests were made using a police helicopter.
