Danny de Munk denies allegations and will report: “If I committed adultery, it was with mutual consent” | showbiz

showbizAccording to Danny de Munk, the allegations of rape and sexually transgressive behavior are untrue. The Dutch folk singer tells this in an interview with RTL Boulevard on Thursday. “I have never forced anyone, I have never raped anyone,” said the folk singer.

“In my life I have occasionally thought with my dick instead of my head,” says De Munk, who first discusses the allegations. “If I have committed adultery, it was by mutual consent.”

According to the singer, that mutual consent refers to fifteen years ago, when he had sex with an ex-colleague. “In 2007 I made an appointment for the performance in a toilet. That turned out to be an intimate, passionate lovemaking. The second was a date with me in a vacation home. In the end we were inciting each other. Which was abruptly stopped by an electronic loud noise. We are both shocked, because you think: shit, there is a colleague at the door. I look at the tables: there are telephones there.” According to De Munk, he saw that the woman was recording the meeting. “I scolded her, sent her out of my house and urgently requested that everything be removed.”

The singer is also responding to accusations that he acted with children under the influence of drugs, had sex in the wings and had sex on the tour bus. According to the singer, he has never used drugs during his work. “I didn’t sit on a bus, I had a driver. My colleagues and Stage Entertainment can confirm that,” says de Munk. According to him, it is far too busy between the wings to have sex there.

Character destroyed

De Munk says he is “devastated” by the allegations and calls it an “atomic bomb on his family”. “Actually, you’ve already been convicted,” he says. “My character has been destroyed. I have to think about every word. But I think it’s ten times worse for my family. Because of my adultery fifteen years ago, an old corpse from the closet I’ll just call it, I pulled them along. I have apologized a thousand times.”

His wife Jenny, with whom he says he does not have an open relationship and with whom he has been married since 1997, is said to have been aware of the adultery: “I told Jenny, Jenny knows everything about me. But that you have to tell your son and daughter…”, says an emotional De Munk. The singer also tells that his children get anonymous with lyrics like “I hope your father rapes you as he did young girls”.

At the beginning of June it was announced that a woman had reported rape against De Munk. The victim is said to have worked closely with him about fifteen years ago in the musical Ciske de Rat. In April, gossip vlogger Yvonne Coldeweijer reported on numerous reports of sexually transgressive behavior against the folk singer. From the start, De Munk has always maintained that none of the allegations are true.

De Munk’s lawyer, Royce de Vries, denies that the singer “has ever been guilty of sexually transgressive behaviour, let alone criminal offences”. According to De Vries, his client is “dismayed about these unjust accusations”. In the interview with RTL Boulevard, De Munk says that he will file a report and “want the bottom stone above”.
