During the Zerkalo festival, held online because of the coronavirus, the actor and director shared the details of the new project, which is partly shocking with its courage. Kozlovsky’s new film will unite several books at once!
According to the plot, it will be a historical film inspired by several works at once, such as “The Hero of Our Time”, “Eugene Onegin”, “Woe from Wit” and others, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
As the director himself said, one must imagine that Tolstoy, Pushkin and Lermontov gathered in one place and saw the story of an unusual family, after which each wrote his own book. It sounds like the beginning of a joke, but no, we are still waiting for another premiere of the Russian film industry. As it turned out, the plot of the picture will include not only fragments from several works of past centuries, but also Danila’s personal thoughts about the family. The filming start date is still unknown.
