Valaisan wins Adelboden and becomes first Swiss to win three World Cup slaloms

Alpine skiing “On 7 January 2007, Marc Berthod won the Adelboden slalom to everyone’s surprise. Leaving with the bib 60, the Grison burned politeness to the Austrians Benjamin Raich and Mario Matt. At the time, Daniel Yule was 13 years old. The Valaisan didn’t know it yet: it would be him, the successor of the whimsical Berthod at the foot of the Chuenisbärgli. “I have some memories of Marc’s victory, but not much.
