Daniel Ricciardo, F1 carrier extends contract with personal sponsor in uncertainty[F1-Gate.com]

-Daniel Ricciardo looks set to lose his F1 seat at McLaren in 2023, but has extended his personal sponsorship deal with Singtel Optus for another two years.

In 2020, Daniel Ricardo will partner with Australian telecoms company Singtel Optus for the first time. The company said at the time that Ricardo was the perfect brand ambassador, “exuding positivity and optimism.”

Daniel Ricciardo’s success with a new sponsorship deal contrasts with his struggles in the cockpit in 2022.

McLaren currently has Daniel Ricciardo under contract for 2023, but the team has reportedly told Ricciardo of its intention to let him out of contract in order to replace him with promising Oscar Piastri.

Terms of the deal are currently being negotiated, but Ricciardo’s camp is reportedly seeking a financial settlement worth around $21 million.

Despite recent hardships, Daniel Ricardo remains a highly marketable individual and is one of Australia’s top 10 influencers on LinkedIn.

Daniel Ricciardo’s presence in Netflix’s Drive to Survive series has helped him become one of F1’s most popular drivers.

Daniel Ricciardo, who has also appeared on high-profile American television shows such as Ellen and The Daily Show, will serve as executive producer on the F1 series commissioned by Disney-backed streaming service Hulu.
