“Ten European countries took part in the event, taking away 189 models of toys,” says CTIA spokesman Jiří Fröhlich. The toys were sent to a laboratory in Spain, where, among other things, mechanical tests, flammability tests (EN 71-2) and tests for the presence of dangerous chemicals were performed. “For 65 models, the laboratory identified non-compliance,” adds Fröhlich.
Nineteen types of toys were inspected in the Czech Republic. Four of them were assessed as high risk. Specifically, it was a squirrel with sound distributed by Moonlight, a ROSE doll designed for children under three years of age, a stuffed fish with a suction cup, which is sold under the name Plysaky and a singing dragon Čmoudík.
