Where exhibitors normally present their goods in the exhibition halls, around 1,500 young people sat yesterday in Wels – full of commitment and hope to be admitted to study medicine at the JKU in Linz. Some have spent a year preparing for the entrance test. For 240 of them, the hope of studying medicine in Linz will come true. Around 12,800 candidates competed for a total of 1,740 medical courses throughout Austria.
