‘Dancing with the Stars‘ Sends Home Two Couples After Week 2 Performances
Los Angeles – Week two of Dancing with the Stars concluded Monday night with the elimination of two couples, marking the first departures of the season. Following performances ranging from jives to tangos, it was actress Alyson Felder and partner Sasha Farber, and actor Harry Jowsey and partner rylee Arnold who received the lowest combined scores and viewer votes, ending their journeys on the dance floor.
The competition saw a range of scores, with several couples earning 34 out of 50. Jenna Earle and Valentin Chmerkovskiy opened the show with a polished jive to “mambo No. 5,” prompting judge Derek Hough to call them a “powerhouse partnership.” Carrie Inaba praised Earle, saying, “That was incredible! You blew me away. You are such a great performer.” Lauren Jauregui and brandon Armstrong also received a 34 for their elegant foxtrot to “Lovefool,” with Inaba noting the performance was “very mesmerizing.” Hilaria Baldwin and Gleb Savchenko earned a 35 for their tango to “What is Love,” with Hough declaring it “incredible” and praising Baldwin’s “beautiful frame.”
Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas, along with Robert Irwin and Witney Carson, led the pack with scores of 37 out of 50. Judge Bruno Tonioli lauded Leavitt’s cha cha as a “killer cha cha!” and “nuclear power,” while Irwin was praised for being a “powerful” performer in his tango.
The final three couples facing elimination were Davis/Stewart, Feldman/Johnson and Baldwin/Savchenko. Ultimately, Davis and Feldman were sent home. feldman expressed disappointment, acknowledging his partner had recently won the Mirrorball trophy in season 33.
