“I think it’s brave, because I knew in advance that we were going to drop out. You can easily calculate it – when you are in the last place with the jury, you can have the lowest number of votes for the audience … The world does not end and nothing fundamental is happening. “

What is Pavel a dancer?
“Especially hardworking! He put all his energy into dancing. I’m glad he tried to absorb everything I told him. I realize that even for a younger person, it is not easy to absorb all that new information, let alone for a man over seventy. At his age, these are admirable performances, although he cannot be compared to participants who are, for example, forty years younger. Even so, he did well. “

In StarDance, you also danced with pentathlete David Svoboda and an actor Zdeněk Piškula. You even won with him five years ago! Did you approach everyone the same, or did you choose a different approach?
“There were some differences. Zdeněk and David and I trained for four to five hours every day, while with Pavel only three to four times a week, we trained for a maximum of two hours a day, which is proportional to his age. Zdeněk is a “cub”, he was maybe seventeen and I have a feeling that maybe his mother came with him once … That was something completely different, and most importantly it was my first StarDance. I was a little knocked out because I didn’t know what to expect. Then came David, who grew close to my heart. It was nice that he had maybe even more energy than me, so it was very energetic with him. Everyone simply has something. “
Did you stay in touch even after the competition?
“Zdeněk and I performed at balls for a long time. We laughed a lot and it was nice. David and I became good friends. He is a nice personality and I respect him very much. I can call him even in situations where I don’t feel best. I’m very happy for that. “
When did you realize you wanted to be a dancer?
“I basically wanted to be a dancer from an early age. I went to ballet in kindergarten and then I started with sport dancing. “
