Lucie Gelemová is best known as the former lover of saxophonist Felix Slováček. Now she revealed how she remembers the relationship and what it was like to date the famous musician.

During a recent interview for kafe.cz Lucie Gelemová revealed that New Year’s Eve is an even more special day for her than for others – it’s her birthday! The last one was even extra special – she turned 40 last year. Kulatiny celebrated in style. “Last year it was even the round jubilee of 40 years, so everything went well,” she confided.

But even though she likes to celebrate, there were times when Lucie Gelemová was the target of constant negativity and false accusations. During the seven long years of her relationship with Felix Slováček, people wrote and spread lies about her and tried to sink her. Felix’s wife, Dáda Patrasová, had a hard time coming to terms with their love, who never left a thread about the artist and never missed an opportunity to speak negatively about her in the media. However, Gelemová did not let the hatred consume her. “If I had a different personality and wanted to respond to every false statement like that, I wouldn’t do anything else,” she explained. “Feelings of psychological distress are non-transferable.”

I loved Felix, says Gelemová

Despite the difficulties she experienced alongside the most famous Czech saxophonist, Lucie Gelemová still fondly remembers her seven-year partnership with Felix. “I liked Felix deeply, she loved him. I am grateful to him for many things,” she said. “Our seven-year partnership was a very important milestone in my life, as was my marriage to Guy Gelem (Israeli musician and composer)”

Lucie admitted that she was grateful to fate for both Felix and her ex-husband. “Despite some elements of their actions, I respect both of my ex-partners and am in friendly contact with both of them,” she said.

An unbiased observer must therefore recognize that Lucie Gelemová is ultimately a woman with relatively great grace and inner strength. She managed the difficult periods of her life with an unusually positive attitude and she looks back on past relationships, which must have been full of difficult moments especially at their ends, with gratitude, despite the problems she faced, especially in her relationship with Felix.
