Daca Social Media, the marketing company behind unique projects in A Coruña

It takes a lot of good luck to start a business in 2020 and for it to prosper. And bad luck would be to constitute it weeks before a pandemic paralyzes the world economy. Is what happened to If Social Media. This marketing company led by several entrepreneurs from A Coruña, among which Daniel Antelo and Adrián Varela stand out. offer a new and renewed image to multiple businesses in A Coruña.

“We are oriented to all types of companies, but the ones that come to us the most so far are the hospitality industry”, says Daniel Antelo. Slowly, they were gaining clients, to whom they provided a renewed image in networks to be able to compete in these interactive times. “We always seek to go one step further. We offer a service, but then we get involved with our clients”, says Adrián Varela, graphic designer.

The coronavirus lockdown caught Dhaka still growing. Overnight they lost most of their customers, at least temporarily. “We had several dozen businesses, many in the hospitality industry. The closure forced many, logically, to stop counting on us. It is something we understand, “says Dani Antelo.

Reinvent yourself

“We had two options: either we left everything and gave up, or we pushed forward. It was when we started to think about ways to continue helping our clients“Antelo comments.” We are very involved in the projects we are working on. We want our clients to do well, “says Adrián Varela. Thanks to this involvement, they currently have 52 clients.

It was then that one of its main products emerged. During confinement and before it was mandatory, Dhaka launched its own business letter scanning system in QR codes. “It was widely accepted and continues to work very well. It is a fast and agile tool, in addition to being very intuitive and customizable by the client,” says Adrián Varela, the main architect of this.

Involved with the hospitality industry

At present, the Dhaka team is made up of 13 professionals. Its objective is none other than “to turn your business into a reference brand”. To do this, they maximize the online presence of their customers. As we have already said, the branch that is working the most is the hospitality industry.

“Our intention is to make life easier for them, that they only have to worry about serving their customers. For example, now it is almost mandatory to have a food delivery system. Large companies tend to be very tight on businesses and require 30 percent of the order“, says Dani Antelo.” We have developed the implementation of a shipping platform that takes no commission on shipments. This is how we help these businesses, “says Adrián Varela.

Present and future

As if this were not enough, they have also developed the first Instagram filter in Galician. Today allows users to decorate their stories with the community map and the day of the week.

The next step they work on is in an application that will make life easier for both hoteliers and customers. “It will be a kind of Instagram of the restoration and will allow to choose the restaurant where to eat and that the businesses sell their menus,” they point out.

Daca is not only a traditional marketing agency, but these projects show that they are constantly evolving at the service of all businesses in A Coruña.
