DAC mission for the desktop

Mission is a name that most of us geeks know from our youth a long time ago.

The company is now part of the International Audio Group, but in 2022 it resumed hi-fi production on English soil. Among other things in the form of a new version of the classic loudspeaker Mission 770which we can’t wait to test when we can get our hands on it.

Now Mission is launching an interesting little device that can probably be used just as much on the desk as it is with a pair of active speakers in the living room.

The Mission LX Connect DAC is a standalone digital-to-analog converter, pre-amplifier and headphone amplifier. According to Mission, it’s designed to act as a hub for all your music sources with analog, optical, and coaxial digital inputs. It also has an HDMI ARC input for TV audio. You can use your mobile phone as a wireless source via Bluetooth (with aptX).
