The program “My choice: Latvia” about inspiring women who have chosen to live and work in Latvia can be seen on TV3 channel every Sunday at 17:45 and on the TV3Play platform.
Here is Katažina’s recipe for the Czechs’ favorite Christmas cookies.
ingredients
250 g Milti
150 g of butter
100 g of icing sugar
Lemon peel
Vanilla
1 wave
Marmalade
Preparation:
Melt the butter, mix the flour with the sugar, add the vanilla and lemon zest. Mix the butter with the egg and then add the dry ingredients. Knead until a homogeneous dough is obtained.
Then put the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
The dough is rolled out to a thickness of about 0.5 centimeters and pressed into circles with a glass. Arrange them on a baking sheet and bake at 180° for about 15 minutes (until they are golden brown).

Cover the finished circles with jam or spread the jam between two cookies.
“My choice – Latvia” is a new cycle of documentary stories in which we will get acquainted with 10 women of different nationalities who were not born in Latvia, but came to Latvia at different times, built a family, careers and developed their talents here. In the stories of the documentary we will meet women from Brazil, Sweden, USA, Tatarstan, Germany, Thailand, Ukraine, Ireland, Lithuania and Great Britain. The project is financed by the Media Support Fund from funds of the Latvian state budget. #SIF_MAF2022
