A 35-year-old cyclist was run over by a truck in Berlin-Adlershof on Monday. The man died of his serious injuries at the scene of the accident, the police said.
The cyclist was therefore waiting at 1:15 p.m. at a traffic light at the intersection of Hermann-Dorner-Allee in the direction of Ernst-Ruska-Ufer in Berlin-Adlershof.
After initial investigations, the truck driver probably lost control of the articulated lorry and got off the road – why is still unclear. This is the subject of the investigation, said a police spokesman. The vehicle hit the traffic light mast and killed the cyclist.
According to the police, it is the 35th traffic death in Berlin this year and the 11th cyclist. (Tsp)
