Richie Porte (Trek-Segafredo) battled headwinds at the end of the stage but managed to stick to the lead and stay first in the general classification, where he retained three seconds of the South African Impey, who grabbed three seconds of bonus to intermediate sprints, well helped by his team Mitchelton-Scott.
