At the beginning of the year, serious problems of the CDP game publisher began. Company it officially disappeared from the market in May, and then it started operating trustee upad³o¶ciowy. CDP was responsible for providing players with collector’s versions Cyberpunk 2077so there was a concern that these would not be delivered. CD Project however, he quickly announced that he would take care of it personally and players needn’t worry about not getting the game.
It was here that the official receiver entered the action at the end of July, sending messages to the people who ordered the Cyberpunk 2077 collector’s edition in connection with bankruptcy proceedings, informing that they could file a claim. As reported by the industry portal PPE, one of the readers found out that this is not a necessary action, but a form of protection if CD Project for some reason he did not want to fulfill CDP’s orders.

CD Projekt calms down. The trustee is independent of them and the games will be delivered
PPE then contacted the representatives of CD Projekt, who assured that no worries and surely those who ordered the collector’s edition will receive it on time. Nor do they need to take any additional action. However, there were more questions and doubts, as CD Projekt decided to create a special FAQ with answers to questions that may be of interest in the context of the Collector’s Edition. The developer reiterates that game they will arrive on time.

In our operations, we are independent of the CDP trustee, whose duty is to secure the bankruptcy estate of CDP and pay its creditors. As an independent entity, we have no influence on the course of bankruptcy proceedings. Our guarantees for delivering the game to people who purchased it from the CDP store (cyberpunk.sklep.pl) result from the agreement we concluded with CDP in January 2020. Regardless of the outcome of the talks we are currently conducting with the trustee and aimed at developing a common position, we intend to fulfill the obligations assumed by us in the agreement concluded with the CDP.
