The covid-19 pandemic continues to revolutionize the planning of flights to European destinations. The airline Lumiwings announced that “flights to the Greek islands have suffered cancellations due to the continuation of anti-covid-19 restrictions that do not allow proper planning due to continuous cancellations”. For Greece, the destinations of Zakynthos remain active, from 21 July every Wednesday, and Kefalonia, from 26 July every Monday. There are therefore no more Santorini, Rhodes, Heraklion and Corfu. “All passengers who have undergone flight cancellation will be reimbursed with the same payment method with which they bought the ticket – it is communicated -. Anyone interested can choose other active destinations for Lumiwings. For any need it is possible to contact the care service @ lumiwings.com “.
Just a week ago, the second plane of the Lumiwings airline landed and will be based at Ridolfi airport, a Boeing 737-700 NG coming from Thessaloniki. The aircraft is of the latest generation, has a range of six hours and can carry up to 149 passengers. “Forlì is a very important city for us – underlined Dimitrios Kremiotis, CEO of Lumiwings – and in these first months we are quite satisfied with our air traffic considering also the moment we are going through”.
Other cuts concerned the airline EgoAirways: connections with Bari and Brindisi have been removed from the booking portal, while flights to Catania (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday), Cagliari (Monday and Friday), Lamezia Terme ( from 6 July), Comiso-Ragusa (from 4 July), Olbia (from 2 July), Mykonos in Greece (from 25 July) and Ibiza in Spain (from 31 July).
