Limburg-Weilburg. The district administration has announced that as of Sunday, January 3, 2021, 12 noon, 733 people in the Limburg-Weilburg district are actively infected with the corona virus. They are distributed in Limburg (205), Hadamar (68), Dornburg (67), Bad Camberg (60), Runkel (40), Elz (39), Brechen (33), Weilburg (33), Selters (30), Hünstelden (28), Beselich (27), Weilmünster (21), Merenberg (21), Waldbrunn (17), Villmar (12), Weinbach (10), Mengerskirchen (9), Elbtal (7) and Löhnberg (6).

There have been a total of 4204 confirmed cases so far (+ 51 on the previous day), 3377 people have now recovered (+ 59 on the previous day). 1415 people are currently in quarantine in the district. 94 people unfortunately died in connection with the corona virus, most recently one person each in the hospital in Weilburg and in the nursing home in Runkel. There are currently 103 corona infected people in the district’s hospitals, 80 people in normal care beds and 23 in intensive care beds. The incidence is 266.4. The incidence describes the number of new infections with the corona virus per 100,000 inhabitants within 7 days. The population of 172,328 is used as the basis for calculating the incidence of the Limburg-Weilburg district.

There are currently positive corona cases in 15 facilities as well as in 2 schools and day-care centers. At the express request of the institutions, the Limburg-Weilburg district does not provide any further details.
