Limburg-Weilburg. The district administration has announced that as of Friday, January 22, 2021, 12 noon, 576 people are actively infected with the corona virus in the Limburg-Weilburg district. They are distributed in Limburg (106), Dornburg (63), Bad Camberg (53), Runkel (53), Elz (45), Hadamar (44), Selters (27), Weilmünster (22), Villmar (22), Brechen (22), Hünstelden (21), Beselich (20), Elbtal (20), Weilburg (17), Merenberg (15), Waldbrunn (12), Mengerskirchen (8), Löhnberg (5) and Weinbach (1). So far, there have been a total of 5110 confirmed cases (+ 55 on the previous day), 4359 people have now recovered (+ 82 on the previous day). 1110 people are currently in quarantine in the district. 175 people unfortunately died in connection with the corona virus, most recently in nursing homes in Bad Camberg (2), Runkel and Dornburg, in the hospital in Montabaur and in Weilmünster. There are currently 74 corona infected people in the district’s hospitals, 57 people in normal care beds and 17 in intensive care beds. The incidence is 124.8. The incidence describes the number of new infections with the corona virus per 100,000 inhabitants within 7 days. The population of 172,328 is used as the basis for calculating the incidence of the Limburg-Weilburg district. The Limburg-Weilburg district is the only municipality in Hesse that has had a test regulation since December 11, 2020, under which corona tests are regularly carried out in the hospitals as well as the facilities. The test intensity depends on the infection. There are currently 181 positive corona cases, which are spread across facilities in Elz, Dornburg, Bad Camberg, Limburg, Runkel, Elbe Valley and Brechen. So far, 2,190 people have been vaccinated in the Limburg-Weilburg district.
