Curaçao prohibits all dance and music activities | Abroad

The reason for the measures is the registration of two new corona infections. In both cases, it concerns local infections, of which it is not clear how the persons became infected. They have not recently traveled or interacted with people who have been abroad.

This means that there are now a total of five infections on Curaçao, two of which were already in quarantine before the infection was discovered. Only 39 cases have been recorded on the island since March. There has been a lot of commotion since the first local contamination was announced at the end of last week.

Gerstenbluth called on the population to remain calm and not to panic. He indicated that new infections will undoubtedly appear in the coming days. “But the government will do everything it can to track down persons with COVID-19.”
