Cumulative incidence in the Islands rises by 27 percent in 14 days | Radio Mallorca | Hour 14 Balearic Islands

The cumulative incidence of coronavirus in the Islands in 14 days has increased by 27 percent from October 26 to November 4. It has gone from 192 cases per 100,000 inhabitants to 245. This is one of the data collected in its latest report by the Balearic Epidemiology Service, which reflects the updated data until Wednesday of this week.

In general, the spread of the disease is increasing in all the Islands in a generalized way except in Menorca. In fact, the number of positives has risen in 33 of the 58 basic health areas of the archipelago.

Regarding the municipalities, the highest rate per 1,000 inhabitants is in Sant Joan, in Mallorca, with 48 cases, followed by Ibiza with 29, Montuïri with 28, Palma 23 and Sóller with 19. Data from Sant Joan, Sóller and Montuïri, they point out from Health, are conditioned by the outbreaks that have occurred in geriatric residences.

That by municipalities, if we look at basic health areas, the one with the highest incidence right now is Vila with 31 cases per thousand inhabitants. Then there is Pere Garau with 27.5, Son Gotleu with 27.3, Es Viver in Ibiza with 26.5 and Arquitecte Bennàssar in Palma with 25.3.

In Manacor, where a perimeter confinement is in effect, from October 20 to 26, 135 new cases of Covid-19 were registered and last week they were reduced to 109.

In terms of outbreaks, between October 27 and November 4, there have been 26 outbreaks and since the start of the pandemic the number rises to 297.
