Cultural activity returns to Langreo with music, theater, cinema and painting

Good news for the cultural world. The Culture area of ​​the Langreo City Council will resume activity in the municipal facilities this week. “The theaters, houses of culture and exhibition halls of the council will return to their usual rhythm of programming”, pointed out the municipal officials. In addition, two of the works included in the Theater Days that could not be represented on the dates initially planned will be recovered in the coming weeks.

The first act will take place tomorrow, with the opening of the exhibition “Plane Sequence”, dedicated to the thirty years of the cinematographic gathering “Dark Room”. The opening will be at 6.30 pm, at the Casa de Cultura Escuela Dorado de Sama. “Throughout it, you can review some of its milestones and recall the cycles and projections carried out,” they explained from the entity. It will be open to the public until January 16.

On Wednesday, the Nuevo Teatro de La Felguera hosts the live broadcast of the opera Fidelio, by Ludwig van Beethoven, from the Campoamor Theater in Oviedo. The activity begins at 8:00 p.m., with free and free access until full capacity. The next day the screenings return, to the same theater: it will be the screening of the film “Rifkin’s Festival”, by Woody Allen. At 8:00 p.m., and tickets are already on sale today.

Almost on the weekend, on Friday, the Eduardo Úrculo Municipal Pinacoteca opens the exhibition of the two winners of the Art Nalón 2019 contest: Guillermo Menéndez Quirós, with “Deindustrialization and resistance”, and Paula Leu, with “Again red wine ”. Pure theater for Saturday, with the performance of “100 m2” (“Baluarte Theater”, starting at 8.15 pm at the New Theater. Tickets are on sale now. And on Sunday the Langreo Music Band will close the week, with a concert at 1 pm at the Nuevo Teatro de La Felguera Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
