Guanajuato. Guanajuato September 18, 2021. The Guanajuato Health Secretariat informs that the municipalities of Cuerámaro, San Felipe and Dolores Hidalgo are joining the mass vaccination of people starting this Monday.

The biologicals will be AstraZeneca and Sputnik V and the army of vaccinators from the Ministry of Health is getting ready to start the day.

This Friday, biologicals arrived in the State that will be applied starting next Monday, September 20 in 13 municipalities of the State. This was announced by Daniel Díaz, secretary of health.

Work was carried out in coordination with Colonel Enrique Jiménez Chavarría, responsible for the roadrunner operation in Guanajuato, to define the municipalities according to the amount of vaccines received from the AstraZeneca brand: Apaseo el Grande, San José Iturbide, San Luis de la Paz, Doctor Mora, Cortázar, Salvatierra, Uriangato, Yuriria, Moroleón, Romita, will receive second doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine; for the population in the age range of 40 to 49 years.

Cuerámaro receives first doses of the group of 18 to 29 years of the AstraZeneca brand; while Dolores Hidalgo and San Felipe will receive Sputnik V vaccines for second doses for the age group 50 to 59 years.

Daniel Díaz, said that the vaccines are enough to cover the demand of all the people who have already received the first dose and it is contemplated that the vaccination is 4 to 5 days or while supplies last.

He also pointed out that the population is reminded that pregnant women and lagging older adults who have not obtained their first dose of vaccine attend, since in this way the risks of complications from covid-19 infection are reduced, such as hospitalizations or deaths.
