Cuban tycoon Manny Medina will auction “without reserve” his mansion in Coral Gables

Cuban Manny Medina, one of the most important technology magnates in South Florida, will auction next February and “without reserve” his mansion of Coral Gables, valued at 17.9 million dollars, reported the Platinun Luxury Auctions portal .

The house, at 555 Arvida Parkway, is valued at $ 17.9 million but will go on a “no reservation” contest, that is, it will be sold regardless of its market value, Platinun Luxury Auctions said.

According to the company, dedicated to the auction of properties aimed at a public with a high purchasing level, the mansion -15 thousand square feet- has five bedrooms and six bathrooms, is located in a closed space in Miami and has access to a canal .

The magnate, who was born in Matanzas, Cuba, and emigrated to the United States in 1965 at the age of 13, also considered auctioning his house in June last year; but at the last minute he stopped the contest that, apparently, will take place next month.

Medina is recognized in the business world for being an adrenaline lover in risky decision making, such as the sale of the positioned Terremark services and data center company to the Verizon Communications conglomerate for $ 1.4 billion in 2012.

After this transaction, Medina invested in Cyxtera Tech Group, another computer company currently valued at least $ 52 million.
