Cubana de Ajedrez (FCA) has released the following information about the end of its official relationship with Grandmaster Lázaro Bruzón.

Information from the Cuban Chess Federation
On March 20 we received from the International Chess Federation (Fide) the request to change the membership of the athlete Lázaro Bruzón Batista.
After several exchanges with Fide has notified us of the transfer of the player to the US federation, which will be effective from July 1, 2020.
Once again We express absolute disagreement with the scourge of robbery and the commercialization of athletes by the richest countries, in this case the United States.
In the face of such excesses, The Cuban Chess Federation will continue working to raise sports results and maintain the prestige gained by this sport, being worthy representatives of our country.
