A man and a young woman die at a street festival in the small Korean community. Although the fatal shots were fired in broad daylight amidst a large crowd, the police received no testimony from eyewitnesses. The main witness, a young boy who must have observed the act directly, has also disappeared without a trace.
It turns out the male victim had just been released from prison, as well as missing boy Park Bang’s uncle. Nick and Riley eventually find the boy at an old lady’s house. His child welfare worker identifies the female victim as Park’s mother, Kora. With a lot of patience, Grissom manages to get the little boy to describe the crime. Park accuses his uncle Jin of shooting both his uncle and his mother with two guns. When Grissom and his team reenact the crime at the crime scene with Park’s help, however, they come to a very different conclusion…
