Were excited to see Crystal Dynamics take these next steps with their studio. Our teams have made great progress in building Perfect Dark together as co-development partners, and we will be continuing this work with them in their next chapter. https://t.co/9gG2VGUV8u TheInitiative (@TheInitiative) May 2, 2022
Microsoft and The Initiative announced in September that they would collaborate with the creators of Marvel’s Avengers to create the new Perfect Dark, which has been in preparation for some years. The Initiative has posted a message on Twitter wishing the studio well with the new owner while confirming that the relationship will continue after the progress made in Perfect Dark.
“We’re partnering with Crystal Dynamics, the world-class team behind character-based games like Tomb Raider, to bring this first-person spy thriller to a new generation,” The Initiative said a few months ago. “The teams couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work together. We are still in the early stages of development, but we are incredibly excited to take advantage of this unique opportunity to fulfill the vision of Perfect Dark“.
Unreal Engine 5 is the one chosen by these Embracer studios
Epic Games technology will be used by Perfect Darkthe new Tomb Raider and, as revealed by Eidos Montreal this morning, Also for your projects.
