Crysis Remastered is exposed after leakage

In April this year Crytek announced a refurbished version of the classic Crysis, which should be released once during the summer. The studio has now announced that Crysis Remastered will be delayed.

In a Tweet Crytek says that both the launch of the trailer, which was originally to be released on Wednesday, July 1, and the game itself will be postponed by a few weeks.

The reason is partly due to an early leak of the trailer and information about the game earlier this week, which has already led to feedback from the audience.

– You may be aware of the leak yesterday (April 30, ed. Note), and we want you to know; we’ve seen all the reactions – the good and the bad – and we’re listening! We are still working on a number of things in the game, writes Crytek.

Critically acclaimed shooting game

The studio will spend the extra time polishing and refining the game, and just when it lands on the market is still uncertain. The game should be released for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Crysis Remastered will focus on the single-player campaign from the original game and will offer a powerful technical and visual boost, which includes the much-talked-about ray tracing technology, volumetric fog, detailed particle effects and a host of other enhancements.

Crysis originally came out in 2007 with very good reception, and produced two sequels which were released in 2011 and 2013 respectively. Here, the first game was awarded 9 out of 10 points.

– There is little that is as delightful and intense as playing cat and mouse with the enemy in the jungle, and the great artificial intelligence ensures that the play is not always as predictable as one would think. With the open spaces and the many opportunities, Crysis gives you the opportunity to play on your terms, and that’s always a good thing, our reviewer wrote.
